I also use my left eye..

I can't see well enough out of my right eye to focus with it...
People tend to be left or right eyed just as they are left or right handed. Other than the fact that left eyed and left handed people are overlooked by designers and engineers, it does not make a whit of difference..

Especially for telephoto. You can chase the object with the left eye with much widerfield of view. I usually shoot birds and it's harder to chase birdswith only one (left) eye and I feel like I'm wasting the right eye...

It makes no difference which eye you use, there is still no place for your nose..

You have room for your nose if you use the right eye ..
I have much better vision in my left eye than my right eye, but it is more difficult to use the left eye with the camera - the controls are really set up for right-eyed viewing..
Still it isn't as bad as being left handed. I have never seen a camera designed for left handed people..

I use my left eye, because I can't really keep my left eye closed without forcing it or making a funny/angry face if I want to go right-eyed. Also, I get cross eyed a bit because of this if I ever use my right eye...
I use my right eye, but I often keep my left eye opened.http://www.normanallen.com/..
The Majority of Peeps use the Left Eye with Both Eyes open for quite a lot of shots. Cameras are disigned for you to use BOTH EYES not one. After All, you don't look at everyday things with One eye unless it's only one eye you got!!.
You use your Eyes in the Landscape Format, that is why Cameras are made in the Landscape Mode.. Think about it!!!!!!MrScary (DennisR)Swansea, Wales. UK.

It takes a bit of practice, but you soon get used to it..
I used to be "left-eyed" but then had some problems with my left eye. I had to start using my right eye. Although it felt awkward at first (I would end up so confused I wasn't sure which eye to use). It took about a month for it to become second nature. I've now been using my right eye for over a year..
Kind regardsJulia.

Hi, I recently realized I'm using the left eye to focus, while SLR isdesigned for use of the right eye to focus. Is it possible to changethe eyefrom now on? I tried to use my right eye but it's so confusing and mylefteye instinctly chase the target...
Thanks for the advice..
I guess I can change the eye as I'm getting more comfortable with using my right eye..
I think it looks cool to use the right eye than the left one. Looks like more professional...
Kick with my left foot.....
