I think you'd go for the Casio if video is more important but the Ricoh if still pictures are more important..
The manual functions of the Casio are a bit pointless really. There isn't much you can do with a tiny lens/tiny sensor camera that the auto functions wouldn't do anyway. Aperture priority will barely give you any control over depth of field..
The wide-angle lens of the Ricoh is very useful and by all accounts, it's image stabiliser works better than the Casio's, which barely seems to work at all..

Well Said. At high ISO also Ricoh is better than Casio. So wide-angle, better lens with I.S., better IQ. Still undecided?.

Thanks guys, I didn't think of it like that, I didn't think the lens & censor size had an impact on the manual workings of a camera, shows how much I know..
I admit I am a bit of a gadget freak, the more buttons and features on the camera to play with the happier I am, but at the end of the day what you are trying to do is take a good quality photo. I suppose it's better to have an auto camera which can take high quality photos than have an all singing, all dancing manual type camera which take only average photos..
I have considered other cameras such as the Panasonic TZ3 but I am pacifically after a camera I can put in my shirt pocket out of the way, hence the Casio or Ricoh. I couldnt think of any other cameras small enough with the same sort of specks..
From this advice I think I will be getting the Ricoh R6...
Just one last question concerning these cameras..
I pacifically want this camera to take with me on holiday to London City to see all the sites, i.e. Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Tower of London, Big Ben, all the museums etc, etc. hence small enough to fit in my pocket..
The question is, if it was you, which of these cameras would you take with you if either...
R6. Its wide-angle is a need for covering those architectural marvels. (Ex-V7 is not wide enough for that). Its image-stabilisation is more effective than Ex-V7..
