What are your photographic interests? Or what kind of photos do you want to try?.
Actually the first items I'd recommend are two KLIC-8000 rechargeable LiIon batteries, the matching Kodak charger, and a CRV-3 non-rechargeable Li battery of last resort. There are third party alternatives but I can vouch for Kodak's solution..
The second item(s), if you haven't done so already is at least one 1 or 2GB memory card(s)..
Really can't make any other recommendations until at least one of the first two questions are answered...
I like to take pictures of any and everything, that's why I want to pick up some random lenses. My main interests are scenery, then people, then events happening (motion shots). I really want some stunning photo's of scenery..
I'm out to get a rechargeable battery right now. And I have a spare set of li-ion AA batteries that I can use..
I've got plenty of memory: 2GB, 2x 512MB and 1- 64MBThe 2 Gb is obviously the main use..

I recently found this article which did a bit of explanation:.

I could also really use some with/without comparisonsKodak z712 IS (Main)Kodak v550 (Fun)..
Kodak makes an adapter to attach an auxiliary telephoto or filters in front of the main lens. Kodak offers a 1.4x (increases focal length by a 1.4 factor) Schnieder made aux telephoto lens which extends the telephoto focal 605mm equiv. Olympus make a 1.7 aux lens which is well thought of in the Kodak user community that yields an effective length of 734mm. Being the conservative sort I have just ordered the Kodak adapter and the Schnieder 1.4 from Kodak..
The adapter will also allow the attachment of filters. The most popular filter for digital cameras is a circular polarizing filter which is used to reduce glare from water, glass or metal. Kodak is out right now but Hoya and Tiffen arre high quality brands. Kodak offers a neutral density (ND) which cuts the amount of light comming thereby allowing the use of slower shutter speeds for intentional blur or wider aperture for shallower DOF. I don't see much point in that but the polarizer can do that in a pinch. There is a split graduated ND filter which does make sense to reduce sky brightness allowing better foreground exposure.
Lens hood? The adapter itself will serve in many cases..
How are you fixed for tripods?..
Kodak z712 IS (Main)Kodak v550 (Fun)I went to best buy today trying to get a feel of the lenses.I think I'm going to start off with the polarizer and the UV, along with the adapter. I might also look into the focal point thing you were talking about. I've got a table top tripod (that I can't find) but I'm going to ask my friend for one of his tall tripods. He's got like 3.do you have any with/without filter photos?..
I've been on Amazon.com all morning looking at pricing on the various lenses and whatnot. They're a lot cheaper than what's at the stores. I'm probably going to be getting some sort of set off of there. I've decided that I want the UV, polarizer, and FLD filters, I'd also like (but it's not a must) a telephoto, wide angle, and a macro lense..
What's the deal with the HD lenses/filters?.

Sakar manufactures low-end, high-margin accessories under a variety of brands, including "Digital Optics", "Crystal Optics", and "Titanium". They're not exactly known for quality..
The same goes for Opteka gear, although they're a separate operation IIRC...
Opteka "Professional" products are not going to deliver the performance you might expect. IMO, it is better to avoid the "accessory kits" that promise to set you up with everything you "need" to do photography. I have acquired my photo accessories one by one, and am pleased with what I have found, mainly on ebay (also at B&H). I have avoided the Opteka products which populate the ebay photo accessories selection..
You should do well with the Kodak telephoto mentioned previously. Check the Kodak forum for a wide-angle lens that is compatible with your camera (not all WA lenses will be)..
Note the thread size of your Kodak adapter, and get appropriate step rings to help you mate lenses with a different thread size to your adapter..
You will want to get your filters in the same thread size as your adapter. UV and polarizing (linear will work fine on your camera, as will circular) filters are good to begin with. A set of neutral density filters (ND2,ND4,ND8) can be helpful at times. A rotating split-neutral density filter helps brighten the foreground of landscapes..
For extreme closeups, you want an achromatic close up lens, such as are listed here:http://freenet-homepage.de/seemolf/achromats.html#chartPage down until you come to the Chart..
The Raynox DCR 150 is a good close-up lens, and adjusts to fit different thread sizes. You will be able to focus with this lens at a distance of about 8.5" from your subject..
For a tripod, get an inexpensive one on ebay. For a beginner, you do not need to have a high-performance tripod..
