Not sure how to tell if it's compatible,.
It recognises the card and displays an icon showing what it is, but then it prompts me to format the thing...which wont be too good for the pictures on it...
Have you tried pluging the camera into the laptop, with the usb lead. and download from the camera..
Some cards do not like to be read by the PC, they are set up to be read by the camera, also (important) only format your card with the camera,it is to do with the file system usedMike Rudge..
Also,,,have you installed "pictureprogect" on your lap top???if not, do itMike Rudge..

I tried it for a couple of days then uninstalled it. So I never use it..
To the OP:.
SDHC cards have a totally different file structure to SD cards. If your card reader does not have firmware capable of reading the card it will report it as being unformatted. Get ijn touch with your PC MFR and ask if there is a firmware update but don't hold youir breath..
My standard advice which I have posted endlessly on this forum is stick with 2Gb SD cards until compatibility problems are ironed out..
