Put a watermark on the images so they can not be used. You should also send him a license agreement that defines ownership & rights of use..

If anyone wants to use them on a web page, anything you send to evaluate is large enough to be used. How did the images get noticed by the person who approached you? Are they already on the web? If so, why are you asked to send pictures if they already have them on their computer?.
Don't just put your copyright on the image, put it across the entire image with semi transparency. I do it with all the pictures on my sports web site.http://bermansports.com/.

I just recently went to Sumatra on a surf trip and got some reallygood shots, with my d80. I was approach with the offer to purchase afew of my photos to be used as advertising on the surf camps webpage. The owner wants me to send a few shots via email to choosewhich ones he likes..
Is there an easy way of protecting these photos I send so he doesntjust use them on his web page?.
