I tried posting my first pic yesterday. The URL looked good (at Zenfolio) and was complete when I pasted it into my message. The message preview displayed the image perfectly. Confident I had it right, I posted..... looked great on my PC, but a friend checked from their's... no image..

I have NOOOO idea why other user's can't see it..

Hey, great shot. I've been wondering what kind that one is. I assume it is a woodpecker, but so far I've been calling it the "punk rock woodpecker" because of it's hot pink hair.  .

Do you know it's proper name?.

Flickr TOS specifies that hotlinked images should be accompanied by a link back to the main page for the photo, if memory serves. I've not heard of them actually going after people who just hotlink 'em without the links, but *shrug* it doesn't hurt to include the link...

Hi teabear:.

Wont work - you're posting to a gallery view. Login to flickr, click on the pic you want to embed, choose the "all sizes" option at the top of the pic, find the size you want then scroll down the page and you'll see flickr gives you a URL directly to that image and the chosen size. Copy and paste that into your message. Works like a charm..

I have signed up for flickr to post some pictures for assistance etc..

I copied the url link and pasted it onto the message but all it says is photo is not available ?Am I doing something wrong or does it take time?Also what image size do people put on this forum (max)Would appreciate any help..

Is a link to the PAGE containing the image, not the image itself. That's why it didn't work..

Is the link to the IMAGE. Typing that (without the semicolon I used to tell the forum software to not do the usual 'wrap within image-displaying JavaScript) yields.

I've been trying to post pictures from Picasa for a while, without success. So here goes again..

Thats an extraordinary shot terrific clarity. If it was my shot, Id paint the red on the front ski pole to make it stand out, and perhaps brighten some yellow of the goggles. Either way, it's terrific...
