I bought the FZ28 in Dec and took it with me to Thailand this Feb. It worked great for a month and on the last day in Thailand, it stopped working. Upon my return I sent it off to Panasonic for a quote. They said it had water in the casing and would not be covered by the warranty and would cost $450 to repair. Very disappointing as the only water the camera made contact was my sweat from the heat! I am thinking of buying the SX10 and hopefully I will have better luck with Canon!.
I had canon Sx 10. all of a sudden lens stopped rotating.warranty didnot cover , they(canon) call it 'mishandling'.I trashed it , cuz repair cost will be close to buying a new one..
Hi; .
I have a cannon SD790 and when I email pictures to people they are huge. What am I doing wrong. I want the pictures to be smaller. Is it in the camera or when they come out and go into my computer that I am supposed to reduce them? Help!.
I had the same problem and solved it with a free program called Shrink_pic , it automatically re-sizes jpg pictures you want to e-mail to an ideal size for e-mailing (Which you preselect). It does not alter the size of the original picture and is very fast acting. This program is available from www.onthegosoft.com Try it, you will love it..
I'd go for Canon of course. I've always been convinced with Canon's quality, I mean you just can't compare what canon digital cameras have got to offer. Well just my opinion..
How can you say that about Canon. Have you tried all the cameras out there? I'm really tired of hearing about how cannon is so great when the company hasn't even bothered to upgrade most of it's digital cameras in years. There are companies like Nikon that offer ultra compact 7x and many others that offer high definition video with ultra compacts. Show me the same photo taken with 30 different cameras and I'll bet you will not be able to tell the difference between most of them nor will you be able to single out which one was taken by the canon..
WARRANTY which could provide you with a camera for that length of time. It would turn out that some canons cameras are a bad a buy just as their typewritters were years ago..
I bought the Canon SX-10IS about 1 year ago and it has proven to be a real trooper. I use the camera at the beach from April through October where it is constantly assaulted by the humidity and salt air. It has never failed me, takes fantastic pics, works flawlessly in all modes, and the more I use it, the more it grows on me. The pictures it takes seem to blow me away with their sharpness and vibrant colors. I love this camera and also considered the Panny FZ-28 before purchasing this SX-10. There's no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision - I couldn't be happier with it. Thumper26.
