Nikon d40x v Nikon D80
Hi, I am considering purcahsing one of these cameras, to which I can not choose, could I get some friendly advice on which camera would suit me and my purpose, I love taking sports images and love shoting the Celeb's (when they smile at me??? ) anyway??? what is the difference between these two cameras??? Is one more a professional camera than the other, and what is the difference with each lens that they use, is the D40x a more manual camera in the focusing side, or is the D80 a more Auto and Manual camera, please help me, as I have around $2000.00 Australian dollars to spend and dont wont to by the wrong equipment (toy) for myself. I am also open to other advise on Canon but there price range limits me to the Nikon which I feel does just as good a job as some of the Canon cameras, anyway beggers cant be chooser's, lol, Thank you for you advise and I look forward to reading your replies. Markuss..

And yoiu're only counting the ones by this poster. There are scores posted if one too the time to search the site..

That being said, focusing speed and shutter lag are key for shooting sports. Then there's lens performance..

All that being said, the more complex camera/lens setup you have, I'd imagine the less likely you are to have celebs smile at you they may confuse you with papparazi..

'Nice pen, bet you write good stories with it.'..

There are comprehensive reviews of both cameras on this site which will answer your questions.Mike..

Half an hour in a good camera store will get all your questions answered...

At the time you posted this there was a near identical question clearly visible under the Beginners Questions message threads. It might be sensible if you read that rather than demanding individual attention 3 times..

You could also try reading the reviews of both cameras on this site and elsewhere. A Google search will produce plenty of the latter.
