Need background pics for family portraits
Hi all,.

I'll take some family pictures at home. As suggested, I'll use a blue sheet as background and remove it later by PS. Then, I'll try to put some nice backgrounds like many professionals do. I've got everything for this project but the background pictures. I did some google but couldn't find any useful resource for background pictures. Would you suggest me an online resource for creative background pictures for family portraits?.

I've never quite understood this desire for fale photographs..

But anyway, why not go out and take these background phtographs yourself?.

By doing it yourself, you can look at the lighting you'll use for the people, and match the lighting in the fake partdss of the photograph..

And you can tie the theme of the fake background to the interests of the people. A beautiful garden for people who love flowers; the beach for people who love the outdoors, and so on..

I don't get what part you did not understand. As you mentioned, I need a beautiful garden for flower lovers, but I don't have any gardens around me. I need an old barn for a touch of nostalgia, but guess what? I don't see any barns around me neither. I need a nice picture of what I don't have around me. But, honestly, I've never thought using my own shots, too. From now on, I'll take that kinda shots specific to this need, but I still need different pictures..

Try looking at stock photos like istock.com, you can also create your own canvas type with photoshop and there are places that sell Digital Backgrounds like this http://www.backdropoutlet.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21_27ckbBe kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.visit my sites at http://www.photographybychris.netand at http://www.pbase.com/ckb..

Just to be sure.. when you "googled" did you also look at Google images.. a specific browser? there my friend you should find whatever you need.

I once had an out of focus shot of Darwin's grave inside a famous English cathedral that did not come out right..OK macabre but significant to the trip I took.

Google had the same picture from anothers vacation website, the same exact location ( of course) but what I mean.. the same photo but in focus... and I was able to get the full sized, non-copy protected image.... as many popular places do not allow pictures... though some leak through. It has saved my bacon more than once...

Or copy protected ever..

BTW. I have a lot of pictures I took at anne Hathaway's house, in England .. before they said no photo's. I went in the back way by mistake. So.... ask for them and forum members may send some as well.....

Gardens.. check for Portland members... I would like some from the Biltmore Estate in NC for example:).

Do an eBay search in the Cameras & Photo > Lighting & Studio Equipment > Background Material & Equip area..

Here is just one background...

By the way - the learning curve in using digital backgrounds so they look natural can, at times, be pretty steep..

There are also multiple blue or green background materials which will facilitate the insertion of digital backgrounds..

Cameras & Photo > Lighting & Studio Equipment > Background Material & Equip > Chroma Key.

Here is just one example:.
