Is your screen bigger than 1024
Hi to All.

I am in the process of setting a website up. My screen is only 1024 wide. I have a slideshow/album in the website and wondered if anybody can give me feedback on the picture quality on screen over 1024. The content maybe not your cup of tea - macro insects etc, but I would really like to know if the visual quality is there. Many thanksShutterklik.

I don't get the instruction on the website to turn up the sound. I already have the sound turned up just perfect for the music of my choice I'm already listening to. Need a more visible option on the website to disable background sounds...

Looks fine on my monitor (MultiSync LCD2090UXi) at 1600 by 1200. Sound is excellent also...

Picture quality seems ok on my 1600x1200, too. Some images aren't really sharp enough for this, though; img_8236 springs to mind..

Not so sure about the music. Websites should definitely have an 'opt-in' policy for any music, IMO. Having said that, of course you can create a very different atmosphere with music and it would be a shame if all the web was the same... just be aware that a lot of people will sneer when they read 'turn up your speakers', and a few more will sneer even more when they start to hear Pachelbel....

Btw, I have a cat with very similar markings to the one in one of the photos there..

Seems to confuse the menus somewhat (may be related to re-sizing after opening page). Other than that it seems to work OK...

Hi,.

I've cut the music. You weren't the only one to comment. Image size on the slideshow has been increased to 1280 pixels from 640. There is now a very slight delay on image load which I presume is down to broadband speed. It seems pointless going any further in size. I havent seen many albums on line that actually go to this size anyway.

I have worked and networked computers for my business for 25 years now, starting with the old msdos but I have never ventured into web based software until 3 or 4 weeks ago. Quick learning curve?.

Our cat by the way is called Shadow - for obvious reasons. Many thanks for your observations and comments.Shutterklik..

Just one observation - you can't copyright a name or a title. You may well be able to protect 'shutterklik' by registering it as a trade mark, but copyright doesn't apply...
