Internet Explorer and Firefox both have the option under "View" for making text larger or smaller. In Firefox you can use CTRL ++ to make the typesize bigger. Probably something similar for IE.Dirck HarrisBug chaser/Dragonfly hunter...
I can increase font size on Firefox. But does not work on IE. IE is what I have on my PC..
In IE when I increase the font size in View=>Text size=>Largest, it does increase the font size on some pages like Yahoo Home page but has no effect on the DPreview page..
To something like 1280x1078 (or whatever the #s are, I don't know offhand)...
I alreday changed my monitor resolution to 1024 x 768. But that has no effect on the font in the IE..
I checked my laptop & Desktop same result...
I'm not an intuitive techie, but I do have 2 monitors, set to different resolutions, and the font (well, everything) is bigger at the lower resolution..
I have also, at times, changed the IE font, but sometimes it's only the site name in the top bar that gets huge article fonts, etc, remain tiny....
Hope you find a satisfactory solution...
If you have Internet Explorer 7 you have a zoom control bottom right..
You can download it for free from Microsoft..
It is not a perfect solution. It is a bit cluncky when working with drop down lists.Chris Elliott.

The zoom control in the lower right hand corner works great. Thanks for the tip... And it was sitting right in front of me all the time.Cool>.

Presume you've tried the usual ctrl+scrollwheel..
Exactly. The mouse wheel together with the control key works in most popular browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera.Regards,Peter..
The forum look and feel is controlled by a background style sheet which also fixes the text size at a specific size. Some browsers cannot override the style sheet settings, hence, your inability to increase the lettering size..
In Firefox, which does successfully override style sheet parameters, not only can you control the text size, but you can also turn off the formatting entirely and change text size from this view..
In Firefox, click on View >> Page Style >> No Style.
The results might not be pretty but it does make the page more accessible...

Why not just download Firefox for your PC?..
Thanks for all the reponses..
On IE 7 I used Menu Tools=>Internet Options=> General => Accecebility & selected "Ignore Sizes Specified on Web Pages" & selected OK..
From Menu View =>Text Size I select the desired text Size..
I just tried Ctrl+Center wheel on the mouse, that works!..
