Konica Minolta A1 or A2 or A200 with battery grip has everything you need. The battery grip is important because it can take AA batteries.(edit)Woops - not compact dimensions, sorry...

Exactly.. Help indeedEver hear of google or searchmash, both awesome research tools.
Gads, we might need a forum of low IQ issues .. and I don't mean image quality.
And to post it in three forums at once... waste of time.. and first posed query with "this" name.

Fascinating. Besides his spelling, this guy is looking for highly specific requirements in a point and shoot camera! Like, we'll get right on it. Why can't people shop for themselves? I've always found this interesting. I don't ask someone else what car to buy, or house. Ah well..

CCD sensor: 1/1.8 more or less - not the usual 1/2.5Optical zoom: at least 6x but starting from a 28mmImage stabilyzatorcompact dimensionsAA batteriesIf it also had manual settings and possibility to shoot RAW it wouldbe perfect!!!!Anybody can help?ProximaLuna.
Wrong forum, but I'll give you a little help..
Check out the Fuji S6000fd, has everything but isn't really small and no IS, but really good high ISO..
The Fuji E900 is smaller, but is a 4x starting at 32mm, wider than most, and no IS, but everything else.
Canon S3 or S5 IS versions have everything you want except the sensors are 1/2.5 and they start at 36mm..
The Panasonic TZ-2 and TZ-3 have everything except no AA, and smaller sensor, and no RAW..
So no, the camera you say does not exist, but several models come close. What's most difficult is the 6x zoom starting at 28mm with a 1/1.8" sensor in a small package. Either expect less zoom, a smaller sensor, or a larger cam..

Minolta A2! LOL!.
No - ROFL!.
I don't think the OP wanted an ANTIQUE that cannot be serviced with terrible speed/noise..
Good Q OP. You have spotted an obvious and astonishing gap in the market. A GOOD digicam. You are not the first..
I too dream of a stabilised wide-angle, fast lensed, large sensored digicam with RAW mode, full manual control and reasonable reach at the long end..
I'm sure many many others would buy this cam....
...IF ONLY SOMEONE WOULD MAKE IT!!!!! How many years do we have to wait for tech that's already available? AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!.
It is very very suspicious that no-one makes such a gadget. The reason is that they like to sell DSLRS (and all the lenses that go with them). Making a digicam that was erm... 'any good' would stop a lot of people buying DSLRs..
This is a prime example of capitolism ensuring that the consumer does NOT get what they want - as it isn't as profitable. These comps only care about their shareholders and that means they won't be making a decent, non-crippled digicam until hell freezes over or thier back is totally against the wall and they have no other option..
Minolta BTW said they had no plans to make a DSLR. Everyone ditched them for their stupidity. Just before they went bust, their last ditch effort was to release cams like the A2 - the closest the world ever got to what we all want/need..
Sadly, it was too little too late as the tech wasn't good enough yet. The A2 for example stinks in comparison to many more modern digicams just because sensor and processor tech has come so far..
Once upon a time, even Canon made digicams with most of the features we now crave. However, they do not offer RAW any more. They don't offer an f2 lens any more.....
They do offer you a DSLR though! How kind!.
Keep photography wild...
Thank you very much Tom. Your Image Quality must be much lower than you think if you ask me this. Don't you think I already tried on google etc.?? That's why I'm asking a forum where I hoped to find kind and expert people... And you're right this must not be the right forum!ProximaLuna..
Thank you Gary! First of all I'm not a guy. Second: I would like to see you spelling my language perfectly (wich is spanish!). Third: why do I ask for help? Because I've allready tried my self and I thought to find some kind and more expert people in here... but now I'm sure it's the wrong place!ProximaLuna..

I am glad you are amused. I would also like to have your mind reading powers...
Hi,.
This website has an excellent Buying Guide (5th item in the menu on the left). You can put in all your wishes and it will find the camera's for you. Maybe that's helpful, it's also a nice way to compare different models..
Best wishes,Marije.

Older models Canon S60, S70, Canon G5, Canon G6, Minolta A2, A200, Nikon 5700, Nikon 8700..
From them only S70 and S60 were compact. They all made great images (natural colors, good detail, decent ISO performance at ISO 50 to 200 only!.
You can still find these cameras "like new" slightly used or demos from ebay..
I bought as new Canon G3 recently from ebay for everyday use. I like it. For more sophisticated stuff I use DSLR..

Well... you want it to be "compact", but you want it to have a large sensor... larger sensor means some other larger parts to go with it... and that zoom is not going to be internal...some of the Olympus zooms are pretty compact, not deck-of-cards compact but still pretty small... Casio makes a surprisingly good digital camera, and they used to have a model that had a higher zoom and was a *little* bigger than the camera that they are famous for, but I do not see that it is currently available... but if they bring it back.....
I guess... if yoiu want AA batteries... it need not be VERY compact.....
The Pentax K100D has stabilised APS sized sensor (so much bigger and better than 1/1.8 inch), takes AA batteries and there are plenty of >6x lenses from Tamron and Sigma (18-250, 18-200). Some of the bigger "bridge" cameras like the Fuji 9000 and Panasonic FZ50 are bigger than a dSLR. And if you take the lens of a dSLR it's nearly as compact as the Canon S5 ..
Exactly... A1/A2/A200 is EVERYTHING the op asked for, and what's the worry, if he does not need to use more than ISO 200... or for the camera to be fast.
Those requirements are not on his list plus he can get them relatively cheaply, but due to this market segment not being filled after the exit of KM, the cams fetch around 200 on ebay still!common sense is anything but common..
To my great horror the Olympus 550UZ alone appeared when I ran a search..
I would not recommend this thing, but it may be what you want, so it's not my place to tell you not to look at it..
Personally I would recommend a Pentax K100D with say a Tamron 18-250 or a Sigma 18-125, as this is a superior setup by miles. The two lens kit for the K100D is also a possibility, and better, optically, than the Tamron or Sigma. The Tamron would get my vote as a general purpose lens over the Sigma, but not over the two lens kit. The cost is higher, of course..
If you can live without RAW, Fuji have just announced the S8000 which might be suitable. It has not been seen, or reviewed, and I would never recommend a camera under those conditions. It could be awful for all anyone knows..
The Canon S3 is worth a look as is the Fuji S6000, although neither match all your requirements they are very versatile cameras and good value..
