HDR is a technique not a camera. I've been shooting HDR for interiors for over a year. True HDR requires multiple exposures by varying the shutter speed and then using a HDR specific programs like Photoshop or PhotoMatix. You would need a camera capable of manual mode. Vary the shutter speed not the aperture and use the resulting images in a HDR aware program like PhotoShop or PhotoMatix.Doug Walker..
Well, not really..
I have been using the FZ8 for HDR, using bracketing, without any tripod, mainly with Photomatix..
Some of the images, the cloisters', are here:.

Thought by some that Olympus E3, due November, will have a form of HDR (high dynamic range)you might find it rather expensive though.
Alternately the Fuji S5 has the broadest DR (dynamic range) of any dSLRwhich approaches the same thing ...Riley.

As I said there is no HDR camera. If you are using any camera in conjunction with multiple exposures to create a high dynamic range image then you are using a "technique" not a camera. A true high dynamic range camera that can capture what the eye sees in one shot does not yet exist. The best approach to achieving close to what the eye sees is the hdr "technique".Doug Walker..
If you are trying to make a photographic masterpiece with rich full tones, you can do a very good job with a straight DSLR..
Serious photos take a capable camera and user..
Ps English OK, camera logic not so good..
