green spots on CCD chip
I was make a photography of some laser (green) and after that I always have three green spots on any pictures. Since DSLR have software for mapping bad pixels, I will ask one question: is there sofftware that can remove green pixels and with interpolation replace it with more "natural" colors....

Yikes, don't tell me you shined a green laser directly on your sensor??.

Software like Photoshop can easily do this. Just use the clone tool to "copy in" surrounding pixels. You could even write a script to do this for every picture you take..

But if your sensor is really bad, the better solution is to send it in for repair...

Not directly (I am not that stupid  ) but in some small fraction of time laser beam was passed my photo..

Pixel mapping will take care of that..

The algorythms that map out the bad pixels will replace them with like colored pixels in whatever picture you take.....you'll never know they've been mapped out..

Oly cameras have pixel mapping available from the menu while most other brands have to be sent in for repair.A member of the rabble in good standing...

Thanks for reply: I found that Panasonic have pixel mapping but in hidden service mode. So I will not touch that .

If you have instructions for implementing the hidden service mode and mapping I would go ahead and do it.Mapping is not really a big deal and you won't hurt the camera.A member of the rabble in good standing...

I have instructions but many people used that feature report dead camera after that, or picture was in some "very strange colors" So maybee there is two or three functions in that one. And some information tell that if you start that operation you need special equpted "white box".
