Just purchased a FujiFilm FinePix Z1 - the first batch of pix's look fine when brought up on PChowever in printing them, all of the pix's have the tops or head area cut off...usually, with my other cameras-if it looks ok-print-and it's fine....Is there a setting that I am missing-I hate to have to use software to cut/slash etc on each batch of pix's.
Any help would be appreciated - before I take the camera back and get something else.
Thanks..
Does anyone notice that this camera is kind of inconsistent with darker and shorter range shots? I do not know much about cameras but sometimes my Z1 shots on the display will have the appearance of a reddish/orange hue to the whole picture. Sometimes the pictures will come out very very dark despite the flash. It almost seems that the flash and the shutter are not at the sametime; like the flash comes first then the picture is taken which misses the brightness of the flash. Maybe my camera is defective because I have not heard the same from anyone else. help if you can!..
My new Z1 has given me a message not listed in the Manual. I turned the camera off as directed and placed it in the charge cradle. When I pressed the power button, the camera came on with the last image displayed and an array of small squares (3X3) appeared in the upper left corner of the display and they changed in color from blue to white. The red 'charge' light did not come on. What is going on?.
Thanks!.

I know this was ages back that you wrote about losing heads and stuff when printing from your Fuji Z1 but anyway, here's what might be up. When you use a film camera the frame size is automatically rectangular (same shape as a 6x4" print). On digital cameras the frame is square (because the CCD is square) so when you print your pictures you need to move the area to print up so that it includes the head, you'll prob find you lose a bit of the picture at the sides but if you adjust the area you're printing you should be ok. Hope that helps, I work in a camera shop and it's a really common mistake to make...
White lines are apearing on diiplay screen and when you print them off but when you take photo it's fine it's when you playback...
My volume on my video has somehow switched itself off, the volume is up to the last and everything seems to be the same, but I just can't seem to hear on it, has this happened to anyone before and can someone please help!!!! thanx..
My Z1 suddenly started having white lines across the photos I take. Some are narrow and some wider, virtually wiping out the image. I thought it might be the memory card but it happens with a different one too. Might it be the battery? There is no indication that the battery is low. What else can it be? The camera is about 3 years old and this just started last summer. Here is a sample picture.
