Most of the digital camera can connect to TV but not Fuji Finepix 1400. The TFT screen on back of camera is hard to see under sunny day..

The camera is very good, easy to operate and a good value. The lens cover does scratch the front of the camera when moved off of the lens. I also agree with others that the small screen is very hard to see, especially when wanting to view sett.

I love my new Fuji 1400 FinePix!Best bang for the buck with a 3x zoom. It's simple to use and good quality for web use and upto 5x7 prints.Again, What I like most is even my wife can use it as it's very similar to a standard point and shoot...

In order to avoid the scratch of the lens cover, I have to put a scotch tape on the front of the body. You can even decorate the camera with different colors of tapes. It is fun to do that, you have the same feeling of decorating the car with colorful stripes. Thanks for 3M to made such a nice tape..

Had the camera 3 days and love it! Easy to use, good colour balance, nice compression-even on normal setting, fast download, long battery life (alkalines still going strong after 140 low res), useful features. Picture quality knocks the pants off my Olympus "yellow hue, crap compression" C320. Shame there's no shoulder strap though. Happy snapper in Singapore!.

I've recently picked up the the 1400 zoom and I have to say I'm impressed. I spent ages trawling through coupon after review, straining my eyes on example pictures before I put up the cash for it. I had a few concerns before buying the camera, all of which turned out to be nothing to worry about. They were :1) 1.3 megapixel quality - should I got for 1.3 or aim higher at 2.0? Well, as it turned out 1.3 was just fine for what I needed the camera for. A decent compression rate on the camera gets the most out of the 1.3mp it has to play with (unlike a loan camera I used which appeared to be a bit harsh on the compression). Even at it's middle setting, it's very good indeed.

Not something to worry about.2) Memory - the 1400 ships with a 4meg card which is a bit tight by anyones standard, especially considering the slightly larger file sizes this camera produces. I went out the next day and bought a 16meg card, and that's fine - 24 images at highest resolution, 49 at the middle (normal) resolution when snapped at 1280x960. As I mentioned before, the middle compression is fine for most of my work. Although some cameras may boast more images per card, image compression really does have an impact, and I'm glad to say, the Fuji has a great balance between file size and quality.3) Off center view finder. Now this is something which may bother some people if you're into doing very precise work.

For me, not an issue, but for the real purists (and I consider myself to be a bit of a purist) this could be slightly annoying.4) Smaller LCD display. This camera must have one of the smallest screens, but the refresh is very high (pretty much realtime) and it is clear. Bright daylight conditions make it slightly tricky to view (like all LCD screens I've seen) but the size issue really isn't a problem at all.In summary, I really can't argue with this camera. The zoom is nice, the styling is very nice, and it fits very well in your hand. The optical viewfinder is positined on the corner of the camera so your nose doesn't get in the way (or smear the display like on many Kodaks) and the user controls and LCD menus are a breeze to use.

The only downsides (and these are very minor) are that I'd have liked possibly a slightly more accurate optical viewfinder, and a bigger memory card in the box. Reports of the slide cover scratching the camera haven't come true for me yet, although it is sometimes a little tight, so I can see where the problems may come in the future. Also, other rumours about colour balance seem to be unfounded - I've compared several shots to Kodak output, and they fair very well indeed. Maybe not so accurate in the colour department, but better compression IMHO.One more thing, power consumption - very good on the whole, although the alkalines that came with it didn't last too long (new toy = lots of pointless pictures = dead alkalines!). Definately get something rechargeable to chuck in it (as always!).Hope prospective buyers find the info useful.

Bought the fuji 1400 on the reviews that I read on these very pages! I must say I was not and doubt I ever will be disappointed with this bundle of compact fun!! my sister just gave birth and at 14 hours old in a hospital using no flash whatsoever I took a picture to be treasured for life!! I just downloaded from cam and printed at a size of 10x8!! the family were well impressed to say the least. the pic printed with a slight hue ( that is down to my printer and monitor settings)what else can I say?? i'm away in scotland within the next two weeks and I hope that it performs well with the scottish weather - i'm sure it will. I will be sending the images to friends and family and upload to this site with comments. hope that you folks out there will take note of mine and others comments and seriously think of purchasing the little BEAUTY!!..

I am happy with my FFP-1400. Some of my likes:.

1) Great picture quality.

2) Good battery usage.

3) Through the viewfinder zoom.

4) Ergonomic feel.

5) Able protect the lens by just sliding over the cover.

6) Got a nmh bat charger and 4 batt's (Quest Brand) for $15.00 at Wal-Mart.

7) Use some price compare search services to find best price like.

Next a couple negatives:.

1) LCD a bit small and hard to see but maybe help on battery life.

2) 4M Smart Media card too small. Check out this current card at http://www.onvia.com/pricescan/Products/index.cfm?Task=ViewProduct&IDCatalog=2543261.

3) Now they come out with the FFP-2400 that is in my case $115.00 more with 2.1 mega pix but the specs are the same on the CCD at 1/2.7 so I wonder if the 2400 is interpolated?..

This is a wonderful camera! Good value for your money. I bought it in Singapore at S$560 (an extra 8MB card is included) in Oct 2000. To save your time, I give you the store I bought from: alan photo on ground floor, SimLim Square. I guess it's the official Fujifilm dealer. The picture quality is great, color is vivid. The interface is simple and effective.

This is undoubtedly the best. I can't understand some guys still buy the Fuji 1300 with no zoom and no lens cover at a price only 10 or 20 dolls cheaper!!.

Just take the closest competitor - Kodak 215. This camera from Kodak has less than 1M pixels, no optical zoom, and the price is S$50 more expensive! Kudos to Fujifilm! Keep up the good work and give us the value for our money...

I bought the FinePix 1400Zoom today, and have to say that I really like it. It is easy to use, shoots good pictures, and I like the fact that the SmartCard mounts on my Mac's desktop as a hard disk from which I can copy image files as if the digicam were a disk. My next digicam will be a box with around 20 megapixels that makes chemical photo equipment obsolete. Till then, the FUJIFILM FinePix 1400Zoom will do...

I just bought a fuji finepix 1400 - what is the proper driver for Windows ME. I can't get my windows me to recognize it...

I just got the Fuji FinPix 1400, and I love it. It is simple to use and takes great pics. One problem though.I'm having trouble with the bundled software, that came with the camera. Anyone know how to access Adobe PhotoDeluxe HE 3.0, on the CD ROM, that came with the camera? And what's with RegShave, that got installed on my system?.

Any info on these subjects would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks, Lori..
