Panasonic TZ3 is probably the closest to what you are looking for. Good resolution, wide angle, lots of zoom, and fits in a shirt pocket. I have it's predecessor, the TZ1. That's a good camera, but the TZ3 is clearly superior. You can find it for around $300..

I agree with the TZ3..
I have seen some fabulous results in (almost) all lighting conditions.They were taken by people who took the time to get to know the limitationsof the camera, and work within them...
