I am sorry, but I can't seem to see the problem you describe. Can you give the title of an image that is a particularly good example of your problem?.

L.P. Pic30_49 is my best example along the front red edje of his sail. If no-one can see the problem I gues it might be my computer monitor..
30D + 18-55mm kit lens + $40 75-300mm USM with a cracked focus ring (BUT I HOPE TO REPLACE THAT SOON)..
I don't see any blurring of the red areas. If the problem is your monitor, you could post a screen print for us to examine. But, I doubt it is your monitor, though I have no idea what the problem is..

On my calibrated monitor I see no problem..
Nothing is enough for the man to whom nothing is enough...
I can't see much blurring other than what I would expect from jpeg compression..
However the largest file size I got was 1024*683 and in those image the edge was at most about 13 pixels wide, while the edge was about 4 pixels from absolut red to absolute green..
Can you post a 100% crop of the edge?.
Bye,Philip..
You've got smearing of color from the red into the black. It's not your monitor. It's probably a camera jpeg processing issue. If I remember right sensors usually bleed up and down rather than right to left..
If the camera can take raw images and you don't mind the extra post processing you can probably fix it that way..
If the camera won't take raw. But has the ability to alter settings. Turn down contrast and saturation. Set up a test picture and take pictures at various settings untill the problem goes away. You can adust the contrast and saturation back up in post processing which should avoid the problem..
If the camera has no adjustments available then you're just stuck.A member of the rabble in good standing...
