We purchased the Casio EX-Z50 during the summer. After suffering to get our computer cleaned up of spywaew and then purchasing a new printer, we were anxious to print our vacation pics. The picture quality of the EX-Z50 is so grainy and lacks clarity. Even after taking additional pics with the fine setting, we are not happy with picture quality. What else could it be than the camera? Please offer any advice. Thanks!..

Return the unit! It is a crapy 5MG camera! The price is good but hey, bad picture is not what we want. There is a lot of rainbow all over the picture if you look carefully! It's or worth!..

A lot of the issues that people have with Casio cameras in general (and the EX-Z50 in particular) can be fixed by following Dave's advice, crank the flash intensity up to +2, and turn the contrast to -1 at least. (You might also experiment with turning the sharpness and saturation.) Tweaking will not turn the Casio into a Digital ELPH but it will help reduce the chronic overprocessing that Casio programs into it's cameras. Otherwise, the EX-Z50 is definitely NOT the machine to crank out clean images in low light conditions. If that's important to you, I'd go with Canon (Digital ELPHs will give you noise, only not so much). The EX-Z50 will hit the mark for most people, though, provided that you tweak things appropriately and bear it's limitations in mind...

I too bought this camera in November and while I love the extras this camera has, the print quality is terrible. I purchased a travel printer and was highly dissappointed when the pictures came out crappy. I thought it was the printer, not the camera. When I printed out pictures taken on a Kodak camera, the quality was remarkable. Now I can't return the camera and am stuck with it. Were you able to find a way to fix the quality of the pictures?..

I have a casio exilim ex-z50 digital camera 5.0 mp, I need the owners manual and accessory guide in order to properly use the camera. Can you direct to a website where I can download the manual? Thank You.
