Great P&S camera but it could be better. Much better. And of course, no miracle, the noise is still very noticeable at min ISO. That means higher ISO re just usual bluff Two questions which amaze me to the deepest extent when I see such camera results 1) Do Canon people ever encountered during their lives such words together as "lateral chromatic aberrations"? Why nobody sues them that they INTENTIONALLY do not fix these aberrations! That literally is a "crime", since they are fixable in software without any difficulties or more processing power requirements. Canon intentionally trashes point and shoot camera image quality! The clue why they do that is in my second question 2) If they succeeded making such nice 14x zoom starting with 28mm, why don't they make (almost absolutely) the same optical design camera with just 7x zoom but with the twice larger sensor (4x the surface are and per-pixel full well capacity) ? That, with lateral CA fixed, would be great DSLR addition camera at least for day light. It will be no noice at least at ISO 100-200. Do they afraid for dramatic decrease in DSLR sales? I am sure they do..
Can you tell me about the picture quality of the canon sx210 .i am interested in the canon sx210, and the panasonic lumix dmc zs7. I am just a point an shoot person.i know I don't like the pop up flash in the canon sx 210.Between these 2 cameras which one would take better pictures.i have no skills in taking pictures.i wanted the best camera for my money. I am not too concern about the bells and whistle.i know the panasonic has a gps which ia am not too interested in because I am more concern with picture quality and which one is easier to point and shoot with. I don't understand photography lingo, so please keep it simple. thanks. also email me your answer at sandra..
Hi, I am not a skilled photographer but I enjoy taking shots.I bought canon Sx210 and was trying my hand on features other than Auto mode.
After checking the canon guide I found AV setting very useful(for shallow background). Now when I am taking pictures in AV mode(or in P) mode I am not able to see difference in the depth of field, I am setting the f stop values from 3.1 to 5 then then to max. Can anybody tell me how to figure it out( I am not sure if camera has it's limitations or I am not able to set it properly)..
