My Gateway T50 allows 30 seconds of speech on each individal picture. Nice feature when you take many pictures.

I am trying to choose between Sony DSC W70 vs. Canno Power shot SD 600. Although SD 600 is reviewed as better low light performer, I found from Dave's Indoor No flash sample ( flower holding model)shows a lot more grainy picture than Sony W70 for equavalent photo for ISO series of any number especially 800.

So it seems that Sony is a lot better than Canon. What am I missing in this argument.

How true is it that using a non-OEM battery pack for the SD-600 will overheat the camera or was it the battery pack itself?.

There is a real problem with red eyes.

Yes, the auto red-eye reduction option is activated...it just does not work very well.

Would not recommend this camera..

Cannot figure out how to put DATE STAMP on the pictures to be viewable and printable on the print and/or slide shows .

I bought the SD600 a few months ago, but I have had major problems with grainyness and out of focus pictures. Almost 20% of the photos had problems with it. The red eye reduction also does not work very well like the other poster said. I sent it in to Canon and sent them example pictures as well, but they sent it back and said it was working properly. I would highly avoid this camera..

Hi James - The SD600 is not SDHC compliant, so you'll need to stick to regular SD cards which max out at 2GB. Hope this helps..
