How does the Canon 1100 compare to the Sony W170?.
Am I correct that you can only charge the battery by removing it from the camera and putting it in the charger as opposed to leaving the battery in the camera and using USB?.
Hi, .
I have a Canon SD 1100 IS on it's way...I can't wait! I have a question about charging it in a foreign country. I live in the US, and we're traveling to Israel next month. I've purchased a converter, but not sure I will actually need it. I know I'll need a plug adaptor at the very least. Does anyone know if I also need a current converter? I don't want to wreck my camera right off the bat! .
Thanks, .
Jennifer.
The AC adapter or charger that came with the camera should say what voltage range it supports. Most of them are auto-ranging these days: 110-240 volts, 50-60Hz, so all you usually need is a plug adapter..
I'm in the buying mode now and there appears to be very little difference between the 1200 IS and 1100 IS, and I have a couple questions/concerns: Any problems with Vista? Image format = JPEG? Is an AC cord optional? I love the viewfinder and the come with battery charger, SD memory card compatibility especially. Love to have help on any/all of this! Thanks! EB.
I recently purchased this camera and I cannot locate some of the options. In SCN mode I can't seem to figure out how to set it for fireworks, snow, aquarium. Once I select SCN on the dial, where do I go from there? The users manual does not give any information on this function at all. Someone please help. I am getting so frustrated. Thanks.
Help. I have just erased all images from my memory card (thinking I had copied them to disk). Is there any way at all of recovering these erased images? My camera is Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS Digital IXUS 80 IS. Silvana.
Yes, you can usually recover them if they haven't been overwritten. You need special software to do that. See: http://www.imaging-resource.com/SOFT/PHR/PHR.HTM.
I bought the powershot SD1100 IS last June (2009) and it's been amazing. I would have bought the SD2100 but this one was an older model and cheaper so I chose the less expensive one.
However, now, it seems to be acting weird. I turn it on and the screen is ready but the lens is just showing black. If you take a picture it shows black. Turning the camera off and then back on (sometimes it takes one or two tries) it goes back to normal showing what I'm pointing my camera towards. It doesn't do it every time so I'm really confused why it's doing it. I thought it was getting too cold but it's done it without being anywhere near cold.
Can anyone help me?.
Can't get solution disk of my SD1100IS to download onto my pc. Any suggestions anyone?.
