I bought a new PowerShot A580 one month ago.

If set the Camera to auto create folders.

When you connect the camera to the PC using the USB cable, the folders won't appear, you will be able to see just the pictures in the last folder. And worse than that if you have more than one picture with the same name in different folders, youll see several pictures with the same name, and if you open them you will see the same picture all the time, (you will never see the pictures not in the last folder). A real mess!! The only way to see correctly all the pictures is connecting the SD card directly to the PC, but I don't have a SD card reader. I tested several machines in the retailer yesterday (including the PowerShot SX100 IS) all have the same behavior. The retailer doesn't have any solution to provide, they said the Canon technicians didn't explain to them the folder creation function. Is Canon support so bad?.

Hi, .

We had a site visitor with problems with the computer recognizing the camera after some time. Several problems can contribute to this (and it's not limited to Canon cameras). For anyone with this same issue, it's fairly easy to solve: http://filetonic.com/blog/2009/07/14/computer-doesnt-recognize-canon-powershot/.

I need help with a Canon Power Shot SD1000. In Photograph mode and Display Photo Taken mode, "No memory card" is displayed on the monitor. There is a SD card installed and the battery is fully charged. I swapped out the SD card for another card and same result. When taking a photo, the camera will act normal as I depress the Shutter Release half way down for the focus, but "Cannot Record! " is displayed. I continue taking a picture.

Can anyone help me?.
