Vedio mode in A530 quality is poor Than A540 and A570.Any software or lenses or any hardware is there to improve it and any relation regarding vedio quality if I get more megapixel camera.suggest me..
In all the reviews I see that lag is mentioned. But what is the time taken to write on Memory card, between snap to snap..
When I take picture no date and hour is visible; can you indicate the way for that.( p. 33 ) I read in french When I go down in MENU and I see cachet date - arret , this last caracteristique is not available...I can say OK or not.
I need to see the date on my picture Thank.
You can only embed the date/time visably on the photo when shooting at reduced resolution Postcard mode, this reduces the resolution to only 1600x1200, ie less than 2megapixels. I believe the latest version of Zoombrowser can add a date/time stamp to an image, though I don't have it to test. Since the date and time (plus other values, exposure, zoom etc) are stored in the Exif data in the photo (embedded into the structure of the file) , there are any number of programs that can read this. Irfanview (freeware) can read this Exif info and and can be set to batch convert folders of images and save them in a new folder with the date and time and even your name added visably to the photo, in whatever font and color you choose..
1. The battery door on my week old A570is has a lot of play in it. Is this normal for this model? 2. The sharpness of the pictures in AUTO mode is less than I expected after reading these reviews. Only outdoor, full sun shots are excellent quality. Anything with a flash or indoor w/o flash is soft.
Because of the soft photos, I tried comparing pictures where the f stop, shutter speed, and focal length are the same. With my old 4 mp digital camera, you can magnify the pictures on computer to read background street signs, or look at some other unnoticed detail. The Canon pictures will magnify, but details are blurry. Is this normal for this model, or is this particular camera a dud?.
I enjoy of this site .
Tanks very very very.
.. In regards to comment about battery door in the review. Quote:"I believe the battery door itself was defective because opening it and closing it again usually resolved the low power indication ".I've an A570IS, and have a problem with, I believe the electrical connection about half the times I close the battery door. The little door lock release button doesn't always lock fully back in place on it's own. When this happens, there is no power to the camera at all. I can either open, and shut the door again, or physically push the little locking button back into place. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this problem..
.Your not particularly descriptive of yer problem with the door. I will tell ya how mine feels. Snug as a bug when the door is closed, and with a bit of a wigglyness to it when its open. I wouldnt go so far as ta say a lot though.
.Have ya gone to a couple a camera stores, n done the big comparison thingy with a few other A570ISs???? Youll know better by that than youll ever know here in the forum.
.Ciao Fer Now.
I am haveing lots of fun with this camera. Like scale 9..
It took me over ten minutes to figure out how to open the battery door.
The picture in the booklet is not clear.
You move the button over and while holding it there slide the top cover sideways. It should then become free to hinge up.
I only found that you needed to slide it by accident as a result of pushing and tugging at the button..
Tell me about it. Figured the trick to opening it. Afraid I'd totally destroy this door. Tried several combinations till I realized it takes both hands. With the camera flipped upside down use your right thumbnail to push the slider button down and with your left thumb push down on the door and slide it to the right. Don't lift on the door. Whew!.
No Date Stamp on Pictures taken? .
I have replaced the battery for the date stamp for my new Power Shot A570 IS. I reset the Date/Time according to the Basic Guide however I am not able to get a date stamp on pictures taken. Also, when I use the menu to scroll to the Date Stamp it by passes it and I am not able to change "off" to "on". Help?.
No Date Stamp on Pictures taken? I believe this post (Roy Fawcett "Canon PowerShot SD800 IS ELPH Discussion" 2/11/2007 3:15pm) that I wrote in the SD800 forum will answer your questions. If not, post again and I'll try to help. Although I wrote it for the SD800, I believe it will apply equally well to the A570..
Does the Canon PowerShot A570 IS take a 4GB SDHC memory card? When I placed a 4GB SDHC card in the camera it gave me an error on the screen..
I looked and looked for a good buy on a Canon. Was considering the A560 until I realized I would need the image stableization for my wife. I found the A570IS online at Fry's for $147 but they would not honor it in the store. I went to Best Buy and found it on sale for $150 and they honored Fry's $147 price. I haven't used it yet but I'm sure I will like it. Shop before you buy. There are bargains out there and you don't have to go online..
