I just bought an A560 after reading the review and need some help with the macro mode. I am trying to take some close ups and can not seem to get the camera to focus to take clear shots. Need some step by step with settings i.e. a how to would be SUPER. Cheers John.

I'm wondering if you have used normal customer version of Canon A560 to capture images presented in these pages. Test photos here show images that are rather sharp from edge to edge. I have tested Canon A560 with about the same settings and exposure values (according to EXIF data), and images tends to be very blurred in areas near edges. Effect is like in many camera phones. Difficult to believe it's really the same camera... Cheers, .

I just got the new Canon A560, and am still confused about a lot of the operations, however, the macro modes. What's the best way for .

Me to set and forget?.

I'm brand new to digital photography with my A560, which I absolutely love! I've been taking "test photos", playing with all the various settings. I'm having difficulty finding a good setting for situations (both indoors and out) where the light source is behind the subject. Though I would normally avoid such a scenario, can someone suggest the best setting in this case? Many thanks in advance!.

Strong backlighting can lead to underexposed subjects. Switch to spot metering and meter your subject, or use +ve exposure compensation. Also try fill-flash if the subject is within range..

Just wondering if Windows XP is compatable with the cannon A560. Thanks..

Ok how many pictures can you take with a 16m memory card? and what kind of memory card do I need to take like 20 normal pictures?...thanks..

Hello My Canon is reading card locked! and it does not let me take more photos, how can I unlock it?.

I was looking into buying a new SD card for this camera and was wondering if I would get better results using a Highspeed SD card (such as the Panasonic 2GB SD Pro Memory Card @ 20MB/sec.) over a normal SD.

So does this camera take advantage of the high speed or is it not worth the extra money? Thanks!.

Well I thought I posted this but I guess it did not go through.

I have a Powershot A560 and want to use a universal power adapter. But I need to know the polarity of the center pin. Canon will not tell me. They want me to buy their adapter for three times what I can pay at a local store.

Thanks..

Does the canon A560 have remote capabilities like the A510 and A520? Need answer ASAP. Thank you.

I got the Canon PowerShot A560 as a Christmas present. I put the two batteries and memory slot card in and closed the cover and set the date time correctlty. I did nothing else, now I can not open the mem slot card/battery cover. It appears to be forever locked..

When the button is moved to unlatch the mem slot card/battery cover it then has to be moved out first and then it rotates back to the left or opens..

Hi using canon powershot 560 and iam not able to use the timestamp can any one help me.

When a picture is taking the image taken appears very wide,as well as when it is printed. please assist.

You must have selected a "wide-screen" resolution. Change it back to a 4:3 aspect ratio resolution like L, M1, M2, etc., in the last (bottom) option of the Func menu. Or, your could reset the camera from the Setup menu..
