Best Bag
I have a just bought a canon 30d and now need a new bag..

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which bag would best fit my needs:.

1) Must fit Camera plus 18-55 kit lens plus 70-300mm lens plus room to grow a bit.2) Would really like a backpack style bag3) I want it to look as little as possible like a camera bag4) Must fit a few accessories ie. batteries, small tri-pod, charger, etc...

Any experiences of great bags would be great..

Also can anyone recommend good lens and sensor cleaning kit. I am sur it has been mentioned before but I thought I might as well ask while I'm here..

Cheers..

Best thing is to take your kit to a photographic equipment shop and find one that fits you and your gear. Some good brands are Lowepro, Tamrac, Kata and Domke. There are other good ones as well..

Second best thing is to research here, using the SEARCH function - this topic comes up regularly..

Third best thing is to ask other people for what they would buy - their needs are different to yours, as are their budgets, body size and shooting style..

You will probably find that you end up with more than one bag, to be used as appropriate for the job at hand.Rob.

Tamrac & Kata too..

Loewpro stuff is good, but people know they're camera bags. Otherwise the SLingshot 100 or 200 may be good for you, or the micro- or mini-trekker..

Lamky, look over the different bags, but before you make a final decision be sure to check out the so-called "sling bags". Tamrac makes them in their Velocity series and Lowepro calls theirs AW100, AW200, and AW300. The sling bag is kind of a hybrid backpack, but it only has one strap. You put the strap over one arm and your head so that the bag is carried on your back until you are ready to use it. Then you pull the bag around to the front of your chest and open it to get to your camera. These bags are called top-loading meaning that you can unzip the closure of the bag and your camera is immediately accessable.

The larger versions of the sling bag can carry your camera with the lens attached, three of four extra lenses (depending on their size), extra batteries, filters, a cleaning kit, synch cords, card reader, etc. Best of all the sling bags are relatively inexpensive (none over $100.00)Magic_Puzzle..

I have a LowePro slingshot, which is a sling-type bag that you can wear regularly like a backpack (except only one diagaonal strap), but slide over to your front when you want to access your gear. I've tried backpacks and shoulder bags, but the slingshot combines the best aspects of both bags - comfortable carrying, like a backpack, and very easy access, like a shoulder bag...
